York United Ends Winless Streak
York United finally got back to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Vancouver FC on a rainy Sunday at York Lions Stadium. The home team started strong with early pressure and corners, and it paid off in the 28th minute when Julian Altobelli scored with a perfect finish into the bottom corner. Vancouver pushed hard in the second half and came close to equalizing, but York held on through 10 tense minutes of extra time that saw four yellow cards and plenty of drama.

This win is a big boost for York, who now sit sixth in the Canadian Premier League standings.
