Deportes Canada- AFC Toronto sigue dando de qué hablar, anunciando a Croix Soto como su tercer fichaje oficial y el primero internacional en la historia del club. Soto, una destacada defensa central con experiencia en la NWSL, nació en Pasadena, California, y llega para reforzar la línea defensiva del equipo. Aunque es afroamericana, su apellido "Soto" refleja sus raíces: sus abuelos son de origen puertorriqueño y alemán, una herencia que enriquece aún más su historia personal.

Soto cuenta con una trayectoria sólida en el fútbol universitario y profesional. Fue reconocida como All-Pac-12 mientras jugaba en la Universidad de Oregón, donde destacó al contribuir a un récord defensivo de nueve partidos sin recibir goles en 2021. Tras graduarse, dio el salto al fútbol profesional con Kansas City Current en la temporada 2023 de la NWSL, disputando 12 partidos, incluyendo 8 como titular. Su desempeño llamó la atención de Houston Dash, equipo que la fichó para la temporada 2024 antes de su llegada a Toronto.

Her strong performances caught the attention of Houston Dash, who signed her for the 2024 season before her move to Toronto.
